    COVID-19

Currently suffering with Covid myself as I type. I'm one jab down, was expecting to hear about my second jab today but heard nothing. Does anyone know how long after having Covid you are meant to wait to have the second jab ? I've looked it up but can't find any exact answers from our Government. As for symptoms, I'm asthmatic (got the first jab back 16th Feb) so I've really been suffering with a bad chest. Lost my sense of smell, bad stomach and the what I can only describe as a really foggy brain. Down to just bad chest and brain fog left now, my isolation is meant to end Thursday.
  3. Yes still there are fans who complain that we got rid of Pardew. Yet it really showed the actual power of our fans we we are truly United. Egos and stop it happening enough.
  4. As I understand it, it's simply to stop the doubling effect and to reduce the load on hospitals. That's why it would be short term. Reduce the numbers back down a bit helps the hospitals cope with any flu and Corona which will cause problems. Then I guess they'll hope to get some sort of vaccine out next year with possible another circuit breaker if numbers in hospital keep up. Numbers getting it don't seem to matter any more it's more protecting the hospitals.
  5. Lenny[/member] whereabouts does your option for wifi calling show up? I've seen three different suggestions online, but none have been fruitful. I've just put O2 and 3 sims in my Pixel 2 (both of whom I know 100% support wifi calling) and I still don't seem to have the option. Did some googling and I've seen people mentioning that the option disappeared for them on Android 10 and 11, including on Pixel 3. Why is this such a ball ache . I can get to it by just searching "wifi" in settings search and it'll show up, or go to: Network and Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced
  6. Whilst yes it's been a source I still think our problem has been testing. Primary Schools seem to be a huge source of outbreaks which isn't surprising since most kids will show no symptoms. In other countries the kids are being tested anyway (like private schools here) so they can try and protect people who will suffer. Here they are in "bubbles" which are broken the second they leave school anyway which makes them pointless. They then spread it to the parents and grandparents and staff in the schools. Shame we didn't have a period of time when schools were closed when they could have set
  7. It's starting to sound like they have plans but are scared to tell everyone, or are just plain refusing. We as a school were told a couple of weeks back that there were talks at County level that they had been told there would be a two week circuit breaker in time for the October half term and to plan for it. The difference was the first week everyone would be off, the second week the schools would be in everyone else off. We were told discussions were still on going but that was what to expect. If it does happen and we get the usual Sunday night notification, we have to wonder why the
  8. You might want to check with an independent broker as there are definitely some kicking about still. Think Barclays in fact have a 95% mortgage available.
  9. I mean that’s not what I’m saying at all. You put your name forward as part of the election then I imagine ?
  10. Every year the amount of respiratory viruses around goes through the roof the moment the schools / universities go back after summer holidays. The weather doesn't usually change until later in autumn so it's clearly that which kicks it off rather than colder weather. The number of infections started to shoot up just when kids went back to school. You don't need to be an epidemiologist to work out what is causing the increase... but they've committed themselves to schools being the last thing to be shut down. Schools don't seem to be spreading the virus for some reason. At least childre

  12. Teacher in our school went to one of the empty test centers. They told her to take one of those ridiculous distance tests and get the code. She then took the code to them, they used a home testing kid and send it off using that code. Got her results back as fine 24 hours later. Not sure if it'll work everywhere as they seem to have different rules for different test centers but worth a shot.
  13. If someone dies more than 28 days after a positive test and Covid is mentioned on the death certificate then it’s still recorded I was curious so looked into some more: So the numbers given are if you die in the first 28 days. If you die after that and they're happy it's because of Covid they'll add it to the total. I guess it still makes the daily figures look low even if they overall number does increase more.
  14. I stand corrected. What has changed then? Serious question.
